3 NIGHT PACKAGE - includes Nature, Scenery and Dolphin viewing In the Bay of Islands

Day ONE

Arrive in the afternoon at Pawhaoa Bay Lodge, (check in from 3pm onwards) enjoy complimentary afternoon tea and unwind enjoying the spectacular views over the harbour and surrounds.

Join us and other guests for predinner complimentary drinks while watching the sunset. Move onto a gourmet 3 course dinner served on the privacy of your deck over candle light or with others in the Lodge dining room.

Day TWO

Arise at a leisurely time and enjoy a full breakfast/brunch at time of your choosing, (up to 10am) usually served alfresco on one of the many outdoor dining areas.

At 1pm set out on a guided walk (length and degree suited to your fitness levels) and enjoy the beauty of the Bland Bay area, spectacular bush, beach, hill and coastal scenery in the immediate vicinity of the Lodge.

Return to Pawhaoa, soak in a deep bath with wonderful views, enjoy a complimentary bottle of NZ wine or bubbles), then relax and join others to share your experiences over predinner drinks, followed by another sumptuous 3 course dinner.

Day THREE

Late breakfast (up to 10am) then self drive via the stunning coastal road to Russell. Explore this small and historic little township by foot. Full of historic buildings, gift shops and cafes. Meet the Dolphin Discovery Tour at the Russell Wharf at 1pm www.explorenz.co.nz

Board the Luxurious Discovery 1V for an eco-adventure in the stunning Bay of Islands which includes

  • Dolphin/Whale watching
  • Travel through the world famous Hole in the Rock (weather permitting)
  • Grand Cathedral Cave
  • Cape Brett LightHouse
  • Cruise and commentary amongst 144 Islands
  • Encounter wildlife in their natural environment
  • Underwater viewing cameras and hydrophone
  • Culture and History of the Bay of Islands

Tour approximately 3.5 hrs long. Return to Pawhaoa via the alternative route of Old Russel Road. This is a slightly shorter route back that takes you over a rough metal road through spectacular virgin native bush and a viewing of some magnificent mature Kauri Trees over 500 yrs old .

Arrive back in time for a rest before enjoying your last sunset over drinks and a gourmet dinner.

If preferred you have the option of doing the Russell/Dolphin Trip in the morning (depart Pawhaoa at 8am to meet the Tour at the Russell Wharf at 9am) and returning to enjoy a relaxing afternoon sunbathing, swimming, kayaking on your own beautiful beach in front of the Lodge.

Day FOUR

Wake to the sound of birds , perhaps you may enjoy a swim or kayak (weather permitting) before breakfast.

Enjoy a last leisurely gourmet breakfast before leaving Pawhaoa (Check out time 11am) or perhaps bookings will allow you to stay on for a few more days of relaxing and unwinding in one of the most beautiful places in NZ.
